Odyssee moves to lifestyle

Wishing to extend audience and broadcast, French network TF1's documentary and world discovery channel OdyssČe has re- positioned itself towards lifestyle.

Odyssee will now explore six new themes: elegance and trends, design and decoration, coaching and personal well-being, key personalities from luxury and elegance worlds, tourism and patrimony, and new life styles.

To do so, general managing director Didier Sapaut has announced that Odyssee's budget will be raised as the channel also expand its distribution reach. As of November 5th, Odyssee will pass from an exclusive cable broadcast onto CanalSatellite's DTH bouquet. It also plans to set up on ADSL services to reach a potential audience of 2.8 million subscribers.
