Sky out, Mediaset in, at Digital+

BSkyB has confirmed it is not interested in bidding for Spainís Digital+ pay-TV system. However, Mediasetís chairman Fedele Confalonieri says the Berlusconi-owned business is definitely looking at the broadcaster.

"It's on the market, we are looking at it," he told reporters at a Milan conference. Prisa, which owns Digital+, is expecting final bids to be submitted in the next two weeks, and for a sale to be concluded next year.

Local reports suggest that there are about 10 interested parties still in the frame, with bids ranging from a low of Ä2.9bn ($3.7bn).
