Poland faces 2009 slowdown

TV remains by far the most lucrative medium in Poland, accounting for around half of the country’s PLN1.5 billion (€398.2 million) ad spend in Q3.

According to CR Media Consulting, which supplied the figure in a new report entitled Ad.media Raport, the total ad spend in the quarter was 9.4% up year-on-year, and analysts now expect the 2008 total to be 10.5% higher than last year.

However, CR Media Consulting also predicts that growth will slow to only 1.7% in 2009, when total ad spend in Poland should reach PLN7.594 billion.
