FNAC and Netgem announce TV Pack details
French retailer FNAC and set-top box manufacturer Netgem have released more details about their hybrid Netbox and TV Pack service. Roll out of the new service, which was first reported by Broadband TV News earlier this month, will begin in December.
The FNAC stores will sell the triple play hybrid Netbox for EUR 149,90; a subscribption to the TV Pack costs EUR 5.90 a month and gioves access to all FTA channels on terrestrial including the four HD channels from TF1, M6, France 2 and Arte as well as the low pay channels Eurosport, Planete, Paris Premiere, TF6 and LCI.
In addition, there will be two FNAC branded on-demand services, FNAC Avant-première, with brand newexclsuive movies and FNAC Vidéoclub with a library of over 1,000 films. Costs per movie will be between EUR 2.99 and 4.99 each.
Buyers of the Netbox will also need to buy a broadband internet connection, which will allow full triple play services. The Netbox includes a 160 GB hard disk to record programmes.
