Telecinco out of Digital+ race.

Mediaset's Spanish channel Telecinco will not bid for Sogecable’s pay satellite TV operator Digital+, despite Mediaset’s vice-chair Piersilvio Berlusconi expressing continued interest at the start of the week.

Telecinco is pulling out of the process because the conditions for a bid for the platform are not right.

Initially Telecinco had shown public interest in possibly buying Digital+ but the company’s departure from the sale process leaves just Spain's main telco Telefónica and French media group Vivendi as the only ones interested in the operation.

Next week Sogecable celebrates its shareholders annual meeting when seemengly it will announce the companies really interested in its Digital+.
