TVP still heads the pack

Publicly owned TVP remains by far the most popular broadcaster in Poland.

According to data produced by TNS OBOP, its first channel TVP1 claimed an audience share of 22.83% amongst viewers aged 4+ in November, with its second channel TVP2 the next most watched service with 16.30%.

TVN and Polsat were in third and fourth spots with 16.02% and 14.98% respectively. TVP1 was also the most watched channel in the lucrative 16-49 demographic, with a share of 19.38%.

TVN came second (17.92%), followed by Polsat (17.61%) and TVP2 (15.06%).

Although news-based TVN24 remains the most watched thematic channel in Poland, it continues to lose share, its 3.04% figure in November 2008 (among viewers aged 4+) being down from 3.50% a year earlier.

Disney Channel (0.87%), AXN (0.83%) and Mini Mini (0.70%) were the next most watched thematic services in November 2008.
