Sat-dish importers arrested
Police have been confiscating satellite dishes in the Iranian province of Esfahan. A “large gang” accused of importing dishes and equipment has also been arrested.
BBC Monitoring, in a report on the events, quotes a Colonel Hoseynzadeh, the head of the province's criminal investigation police who says that following extensive investigations, the place where the equipment arrived at Esfahan's Jey industrial estate was identified.
The report says that 100 LNB [low noise block-downconverter] units and 52 satellite signal distributors (which may mean set-top boxes) were said to be seized.
The owner and purchaser of the equipment were also arrested.
