KPN sells share in NostalgieNet
Dutch communications provider KPN has sold its share in the thematic channel NostalgieNet, a channel specialising in nostalgic programming, to Tijdsbeeld Media Holding. The two parties launched the channel together in 2006.
NostalgieNet programming looks back to ’50s, ’60s, ’70s and ’80s and broadcasts mainly Dutch language programming. Viewers can also upload their own home movies via a dedicated website and these are also used in the NostalgieNet programming.
Initially, KPN Digitenne and KPN Interactieve TV were the only distributing platforms, but now contracts have been signed with various cable conpanies. Just last month UPC added to the channel to its line-up.
