German RTL to offer series on iTunes
The German RTL Group will offer selected programmes on the iTunes store, the broadcaster said today. The programmes will continue to be available as streams on the RTLNow video portal.
The offer will mainly consist of the broadcaster’s in-house productions, including hit series such as Doctor’s Diary, Alarm für Cobra 11 and Böse Mädchen. In the coming weeks, it will be extended with Doppelter Einsatz, Die Anwälte der Toten and Die Patin.
Half hour episodes will cost €1.50, and a full hour programme will set the buyer back €2.00. Other German broadcasters, including ProSiebenSat.1, Spiegel TV and ZDF Enterprises, have already been active for some time in the iTunes store.
