Digital terrestrial capacity up for grabs
Digital terrestrial multiplex operator Arqiva has confirmed that two slots for use by television and radio/data services respectively have become available.
A slot with sufficient capacity for a television service between 4am and 6am has become available on one of the company's multiplexes; the other slot is available 24 hours a day but is suitable only for data services, one stereo radio station at 128kbps or two mono radio stations at 64kbps. Arqiva runs multiplexes C and D; however, the company did not specify where the slots are located.
The slots will become available for use in January, and Arqiva has set a deadline of January 19 for applications.
