Motorvision TV gets green light
Motorvision, a German TV production company specialising in the areas of automobiles and motorbikes, has received the green light from German anti media concentration commission KEK for a TV channel. Motorvision TV will be distributed on pay-TV platforms in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The channel will be operated by German Car TV Programm, a subsidiary of media service provider Get on Air headed by TV executive Jochen Kröhne. Motorvision TV will use the licence Get on Air originally received for thematic channel Amazia. A large part of the channel’s schedule will consist of productions compiled by Motorvision Film- und Fernsehproduktion.
The company has been producing TV programmes on cars and motorbikes for 20 years for broadcasters such as ProSieben, DSF and DMAX. Motorvision also operates its own video channel on internet portal Sevenload.
KEK has also approved the licence application by Germany’s Seventh-day Adventist Church to launch TV channel Hope Channel Deutsch. The service will be available on Astra (19.2° East) and via the internet.
