Multichoice picks up GTV football

Multichoice has reclaimed the rights to the English Premier League after picking up the contract held by the now defunct Gateway Broadcast Services (GTV).

The rights will now pass to SuperSport, which lost the rights at the start of the 2007 season. The channel will continue to broadcast the matches through to the end of the 2009/10 season.

The first games will be seen on SuperSport this weekend.
