Spanish broadband take-up grows

Spain ended 2008 with over 9 million fixed-line broadband connections, or 12.9% more than 12 months earlier, according to data published by the Commission for the Telecommunications Market (CMT).

Cable modems accounted for 1.77 million of the connections, an 8.8% increase on 12 months earlier, and ADSL a much higher 7.28 million (+13.9%).
