Green light for Terratao.TV

Terratao.TV, the planned German thematic channel featuring health and sustainable living, has been given the green light by Bavaria’s media authority BLM.

The service, which will be distributed digitally on Astra (19.2° East) and via internet, wants to address viewers who “think and behave holistically and sustainably”, said the channel’s initiator Uwe E. Dettmann (pictured). Programmes focusing on health, wellbeing, relaxation, music, animals and travel are planned. A science and research show along with children’s and youth programmes, talk shows and reports on events focusing on sustainability and health are also envisioned.

Germany’s anti media concentration commission KEK approved the venture at the end of 2008. The launch is expected to take place this year.
