TeleColumbus reports increased revenues

The German Tele Columbus Group has reported total sales figure of around €300 million for the fiscal year 2008.

When adjusted for the sale of local networks to Unitymedia with around 1.1 million connected households outside the core economic region, the company’s turnover increased by 11.6% to €259 million.

Operating profits grew at around 11% to €109 million, and the company served around 2.5 million connected households at the end of last year. The number of digital TV subscriptions meanwhile grew 65% to 118,000.

During the same time period, the number of internet users grew by around 36% to 84,000, and the number of telephone connections increased by 48% to 57,000.
