Poland announces DVB-H tender result

The Polish DVB-H licence has been awarded to INFO-TV-FM.
The Zamosc-based transmission company beat off a rival bid from Mobile TV, a consortium of the country’s four mobile operators, to operate a DVB-H service in 31 towns and cities until May 31, 2015 and nationally from June 1, 2015 until December 31, 2023.
INFO-TV-FM scored 750,000 points in the selection process undertaken by the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE), with Mobile TV picking up only 483,944.
It will have to pay the state of total of PLN15,105,600 (€3,194,539) for the licence.
