UPC targets Czech expansion

UPC in PragueUPC plans to significantly expand its digital cable offer in the Czech Republic.
Speaking to CTK, its press spokesman Frantisek Malina said that the number of channels currently available– 87, of which 25 are Czech or Slovak, 46 localised into Czech and 16 foreign in original languages – would rise to 100 by the end of the year.
UPC’s Czech digital cable service, which already has over 300,000 subscribers, has recently added a number of new channels, including TV Barrandov HD, Fashion TV and Meteo TV, to its offer.
