The Swiss pay-TV operator Teleclub has chosen the NDS Videoguard Conditional Access system for its cable and IPTV delivered premium services in the German speaking part of the country.
In the coming weeks, the new CA system will be implemented by using simultcrypt during the switch-over process. All new set-top boxes from Teleclub will be equipped with Videoguard. Until now Teleclub used the Nagarvision CA system for the digital Teleclub platform. Teleclub has been using analogue encryption from Nagra since its inception.
Yves Padrin, Vice President, Business Development at NDS and General Manager NDS GmbH, said in a statement: “We are extremely proud that Teleclub, a true pay-TV pioneer in Europe and one of the first providers ever to start broadcasting in the year 1982, has now decided for Videoguard. With Teleclub we win our first customer in Switzerland - and this is already the sixth agreement for our CA system with leading pay-TV platforms in Europe.”
