French telco Orange announced at Mip TV in Cannes the launch of a new multi-media website aggregating news and current affairs content, including video, from print press, TV and radio.
Called 24/24 actu, the new service, whose business model has not been determined yet but will be based on a revenue share with partners, will start in France for a beta test on April 15 for a commercial launch next summer.
First partners include French public and commercial channels RF1, TV5 Monde, Eurosport, BFM, La Chaîne Parlementaire and France 24, as well as newspapers such as Le Monde, Le Figaro, La Tribune and radio stations RTL, RMC, RFI and Europe1.
A mobile version is planned to be offered by the end of this year.
