The French pay-TV group Canal+ is now only selling digital subscriptions. Subscribers to its analogue terrestrial service will receive an offer to switch.

The operator has said less than 20% of its terrestrial subscriber base is still analogue. Canal+ plans to switch all analogue subscribers before 2010. From next year onwards, the operator will only have digital subscribers, on terrestrial, satellite, cable and IPTV.

On digital terrestrial, Canal+ offers f Canal+, Canal+ Cinema, Canal+ Sport and Canal+ HD at a price that is lower than its current analogue subscription.
