Shortage of Freesat set top boxes

by David Allen

The digital TV switchover is gradually working its way around the country.
Consumers are looking at their options and satellite TV is an interesting alternative to Freeview, as cost and commitment to contracts can be a put off for some people.

This is where Freesat can step in and clean up.
This service offers a satellite version of Freeview and for some households who are not able to receive the Freeview signal it would seem to be the best alternative.

However, it seems that customers and retailers are becoming frustrated at the lack of equipment available for the standard definition Freesat service.
HD has been the key to Freesatís success especially as viewers can get HD for no extra charge and exclusive ITV HD as well.
However, not everyone wants HD and Freesat is working hard to solve this situation.
