Telenor Satellite Broadcasting (TSBc) announced that it has signed a contract with SES Sirius for the provision of satellite capacity in the Nordic region.
The 3 year agreement will provide TSBc with 36MHz of Nordic FSS capacity on SIRIUS 4 at 5 degrees east. This additional capacity will be utilised for dedicated occasional use broadcasts within the Nordics and Baltics, supporting TSBc in further strengthening its position as the leading supplier of occasional capacity within this region.
TSBc will hold full control of the contracted occasional use capacity and offer line ups and other ground based occasional facilities from Nittedal, TSBc’s largest Teleport, located just outside Oslo, Norway.
“TSBc’s continued investment in dedicated occasional capacity allows us to facilitate growing broadcast requirements within the Nordic region”, said Emma Harris, Occasional Use Sales Director, of Telenor Satellite Broadcasting, “It will also enable increased availability on our Pan-European occasional satellite capacity supply, providing necessary expansion for our European customers”.
The operational start date is planned for June 1st, 2009.
