TNS wins Slovak audience contract

TNS-SK has secured the right to continue undertaking the Peoplemeter system of audience measurement in Slovakia.

According to Medialne, it won a tender that was also contested by GfK and Mediaresearch. The Peoplemeter system was introduced in Slovakia in 2004 and will soon increase the size of the panel of households it uses from 800 to 1,200.

It will also start to employ a new technology named audio matching that will allow for the more accurate measurement of digital cable, IPTV and DTT services.
