US-based soccer channel GolTV will continue to screen live games from Germany’s soccer Bundesliga in North and South America.

The TV station, with its headquarters in Miami, acquired the Bundesliga rights from German football association DFL for the USA, Canada and Latin America (excluding Brazil) for the three seasons from 2009 till 2012. The parties agreed on confidentiality regarding financial details.

The broadcaster, founded in 2003 by former world class player Enzo Francescoli from Uruguay, also purchased the internet rights. GolTV will continue to show at least two live matches per weekend during the game season along with extensive background reports. The channel, which has been a Bundesliga partner for 3 years, offers round the clock soccer matches of top leagues from Europe and the world in English and Spanish.
