Euronews is now available in Washington DC. The service was formally launched on April 4, and will be transmitted on the MHz system from June 12.

John Bruton, Ambassador and Head of the European Commission in Washington, announced the launch of Euronews locally, together with Frederick Thomas, MHz Networks CEO and Philippe Cayla, chairman/Euronews.

They announced that Euronews launched its full-time channel in the nation’s capital area, to a potential audience of some 2.3m households. Euronews is available on MHz Networks 10 local distribution via cable (on Comcast since April 14) as a first step, before it debuts on the MHz Networks broadcast transmitter June 12.
