Orange TV Spain reaches 100,000 clients

Iñaki Ferreras 06-05-2009 French telco Orange, present in Spain in telephony and IPTV, now numbers 99,000 subscribers – nearly double the number compared to the same period last year when the company had 53,758 subs.

The company registered revenues of €954 million in Q1 this year, a downturn of 4.1% on the same period last year. Average revenue per subscriber in this period increased 4.2% reaching €29.3 thanks to the growth of the penetration of voice over IP and DSL TV services.

France Télécom owns 99.85% of Orange Spain and its plans are to reach 100% of the company. For the 99.85% the telco paid €1,374 million.
