UPC Nederland stops mobile activities
By Robert Briel
UPC Nederland will cease its activities as a virtual mobile network operator on June 30. The operator is closing down its prepaid business, which serves about 40,000 customers.
During the past few years, UPC sold prepaid services under its own brand on the former Orange network. At its height, the service had over 100,000 users.
The Orange network is now owned by T-Mobile, which will now also take over all former UPC prepaid customers from July 1.
