iPlayer lets kids watch online with mother

The BBC has launched a child-friendly version of its iPlayer. The CBeebies iPlayer is aimed at children six and under and features programmes including Aardman Animationís popular new series Timmy Time, Charlie And Lola and Kerwizz.
A key principal is to prevent inadvertent access to non-childrenís programming. Most programmes will be available up to one week after broadcast with many programmes being retained for up to 13 weeks as series catch-ups.
Around 40% of CBeebies output will be available on the CBeebies iPlayer, the equivalent of 35 hours a week.
The BBC is also planning to enhance the interactivity found under the Red Button on the CBeebies channel. New content will feature In The Night Garden and Green Balloon Club. CBeebies radio, currently a part of the digital BBC Radio 7, will also be available through the Red Button.
