Canal Plus Cyfrowy has reiterated its intention of playing a major role in Polandís soon-to-be-launched DTT operation.

Speaking to Wirtualne Media, its president Bertrand Le Guern said that the company plans to apply for an operatorsí licence for the second multiplex and to reserve one or two slots for its channels on it.

He added that Canal Plus Cyfrowy would like to supply content to Polandís future DVB-H service, the licence for which was awarded to INFO-TV-FM in March.

Le Guern also said that the company would restructure one of its thematic channels this September, perhaps transforming it into a service aimed at young viewers.

The National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) has stated its preference for such services to be carried on the DTT platform.
