Pietro Maranzana new CFO at Premiere

Pietro Maranzana will take the helm as German pay-TV operator Premiere’s chief financial officer from June 1.

The 36-year old takes over the position from Mark Williams, who has occupied the position provisionally in addition to his role as CEO. Maranzana, who joined Premiere in November 2008 as senior vice president finance, was previously responsible for the strategic and operative business planning of Sky Italia.

Former CFO Alexander Teschner stepped back from the position in October 2008 when the broadcaster confessed that it had published inflated subscription figures.

Both Premiere and Sky Italia are backed by international media concern News Corp.
