BOXX-TV, a pay-TV package for German language households in North America, is offering its subscribers live games from the soccer Bundesliga through US sports channel GolTV. The Miami-based broadcaster recently acquired the Bundesliga rights for the seasons 2009 to 2012 in the USA and Canada from German soccer association DFL.

Each weekend at least two matches will be screened live in addition to background reports. BOXX-TV also took part in the Bundesliga rights tender, but remained without success. GolTV is offered to subscribers without additional fee.

BOXX-TV was launched in January with seven TV channels on board, including yourfamilyentertainment,, TW1 und euronews. Subscribers receive the bouquet via broadband internet through an IPTV compatible set-top-box onto their conventional television sets. A monthly subscription is available from US$19.90, the IPTV box costs $199.
