Orange resumes marketing its Sports channel

French operator Orange will resume marketing its Orange Sport channel, after a favourable ruling by the Court of Appeal of Paris.
The operator had suspended selling subscriptions to Orange Sport on March 24, following a decision by the Commercial Court of Paris in late February. The Court ordered Orange Sport to stop selling the channel excslyusively to its triple play customers.
Now, the Paris Court of Appeal reversed that decision, saying that the strategy of Orange was not an unfair commercial practice. France Telecom in a statement expressed “its great satisfaction after the decision restores the law.”
Orange Sport had 112,000 subscribers at the end of March; Orange Cinema Series counted 251,000.
