Eutelsat figures rise

The world’s third largest satellite operator, Eutelsat, attributes increased sales in quarter three to the growing demand for home and mobile television services.

The group’s success has been built on delivering high quality content and the chairman and CEO, Giuliano Berretta, expects the group to continue to grow as it brings in more technology and opens up new markets in the television and broadband sector.

Recently the company announced that it would be providing a satellite broadband service to Europe including the UK.
This service is expected to cost around £30 per month for the initial up-to-2 Mbps broadband service.

However the broadband speed is set to increase with the launch of the new Atlantic Bird satellite next year, when the broadband service could offer an up-to-10 Mbps service.
