    Deutsche Telekom sets football pricing

    By Robert Briel | May 18, 2009

Deutsche Telekom will this week start marketing the Liga Total live football package on its IPTV platform T-Entertain.

In direct competition with the Premiere live football coverage, Deutsche Telekom will charge €14.95 a month for live coverage of all 612 games during the 2009/2010 season. This will include both the First and Second league games of the Bundesliga, as well as the Konferenz games.

An HD version will be available at €19.95.

These prices come on top of the basic DSL and IPTV connection costs, starting at €44.95 a month.

The telecom operator also plans to add a number of additional features to its football coverage, including an on-demand archive of all games played during the season, instant replay functionality during live games and enhanced text information.

Coverage of the Bundesliga games has been contracted to Constantin Medien, as reported in Broadband TV News.

The pay-TV operator Premiere, to be renamed Sky on July 4, is expected to announce its Bundesliga pricing at any moment.
