RHF fined over porn

The media regulator Ofcom has fined two adult satellite channels owned by Richard Desmond for breaking the broadcast code.

The two companies involved are RHF Productions and Portland Enterprises.
They were both fined a total of £52,500 for showing R18 material.
This type of adult material is not supposed to appear on any UK television channel licensed by the regulator.

One of the complaints was that RHF Productions was promoting content from two of its websites that contain adult material and this was able to be seen by anyone without the need for registration or even age verification.

Portland on the other hand transmitted a show that broke the Ofcom rule that prohibits the showing of R18 material.
This material can only be purchased from licensed adult shops by the over eighteens.
