Full episodes of shows on ITV and Channel 4 may be distributed on YouTube, it emerged today.

According to New Media Age, the broadcasters and other content providers are in talks with the Google-owned video sharing site, which is seeking to capitalise on the blocking of Project Kangaroo on competition grounds earlier this year.

YouTube, which hopes to roll out a substantiative long-form video proposition in the UK and other European territories in the near future, will face competition from Hulu, the UK launch of which is reportedly being held up because of ad sales negotiations with ITV and Channel 4, and CBS, which is already rolling out its online TV properties in the UK.
