Setanta has made a scheduled payment of 50m to the Premier League according to its contracted schedule.

The sports broadcaster had requested that payments relating to its agreement with the League be rescheduled after conducting a full review of all services because it lost a package of football rights to Sky; however, it was held to the schedule.

According to The Telegraph, the next major payment to be faced by Setanta will be 67m to the League due in August.
