ANGA CABLE 2009 - COLOGNE. The US software company ClearView is showing its ClearPlay Movie Info database to visitors at the show.

ClearPlay Movie Info gives information on the content of movies with regards to violence, sex, abuse language and intense scenes. The service is based on the movie and TV series database of the company.

It also is able to filter out scenes and dialogue unsuitable for children in order to make wholesome family viewing possible.

The company has signed an agreement with Philips to show the filter technology on the NetTV connected TVs.
Later this year ClearView will introduce a version for DVD and Blu-ray players for streaming and on-demand video. It should become available in 2010.
