A new generation of card Viaccess PC5.0

Viaccess company, owned by France Telecom, is preparing a new generation of conditional access cards. Tagged as Viaccess PC5.0. The new card is used as the first French satellite platform CanalSat.

The Card will contain a new generation of processor chips, and is equipped with a unique solution for protecting software. Card will be managed directly by satellite from a server, with the right to change, and the encryption is done in real time.

That the conditional access system, is a continuation of the system, and Viaccess PC4.0 can not at the same time sharing the internet through the network and brings long-term guarantee in the event of piracy.
