Deutsche Telekom expands IPTV package

German telco Deutsche Telekom is expanding the channel line-up of the IPTV platform T-Home Entertain distributed on its ADSL broadband networks.

TIMM, a channel for homosexual men, and erotic channel Hustler TV now form part of the package. Also new is the high definition music and entertainment channel MTV Networks HD (MTVN HD) as well as entertainment channel TNT Serie, screening international TV series. MTVN HD is currently available exclusively on T-Home Entertain, but will in future also be distributed on competing platforms. The other channels are already available on further platforms.

T-Home Entertain offers around 150 TV channels, a TV archive, a digital video library with approximately 10,000 titles, around 2,500 radio stations and interactive services. The offer, which is available to around 20 million households via broadband technologies ADSL2+ and VDSL, can be subscribed to in combination with a telephone and internet connection as a triple play package from 44.95 per month.

At the end of March, T-Home Entertain had around 600,000 customers, which it expects to rise to a million by year-end.
