Polish DTT tender nears
By Chris Dziadul
Poland is likely to award an operators’ licence for its second DTT multiplex this autumn, according to Anna Strezynska, the president of the country’s Office of Electronic Communications (UKE).
Quoted in PB, she added that talks between the UKE and National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) about the terms of tender for the multiplex are already quite advanced.
One of the sticking points appears to be the composition of the channels carried by the multiplex.
While the UKE is open to the idea of up to three channels being operated by one company, the KRRiT would prefer each to be owned by different broadcasters.
