ESPN not falling for Setanta

by David Allen

The Disney owned sports broadcaster ESPN has initially ruled itself out of a potential deal with the struggling satellite sports channel Setanta, leaving the business struggling to find a lifeline.

ESPN looked like the perfect partner for Setanta. It was a rival bidder when Sky Sports won the lionís share of the FAís Premier League.
ESPNís bid was kicked out during the first round, despite the fact it is said to be desperate to have the Premier League.

There are currently rumours that there could be another potential partner or buyer for Setanta.

Little is known about this partner but one thing is for sure, if anything is going to happen to keep Setanta from the grip of the administrator, it had better be happening soon, preferably before Monday.
