Axel Duroux quits RTL for TF1
Axel Duroux, former CEO of RTL radio in France, is joining TF1 as General Director of the French private television group.
At 46, Duroux will back up CEO Nonce Paolini, "in all missions and in all social, strategic and operational responsibilities." TF1 Group has thus chosen an expert of media, with a successful background as CEO of RTL. "His expertise in the field of contents and his qualities as high-level manager make Duroux a great asset for TF1 Group," TF1 adds.
While RTL is leading radio audiences in France, TF1 is currently at low ebb and is straining to complete its transformation into a global media group involved into digital television, web, content distribution as well as online betting through Eurosportbet.com.
Since 2005, Axel Duroux was CEO of RTL Group in France, with a portfolio that includes radio RTL, RTL2, Fun Radio and advertising sales company IP France. He also was administrator of CLT-UFA, the group mother company, and a member of M6 supervisory board. From 2000 to 2004, he served at Endemol France as CEO of Endemol Development and VP of Endemol France.
