TVN looks to digital future

The Polish national commercial broadcaster TV expects to shortly sign a 10-year deal will the national transmission company TP Emitel for distribution on the countryís first DTT multiplex.

Speaking to Wirtualne Media, Tomasz Berezowski, a member of TVNís management board and its technical director, said that although the annual distribution cost will amount to several million zloty, it would be less than the current analogue one.

The latter is believed to be in the region of PLN7 million (Ä1.57 million). Poland will launch its first DTT multiplex this September ad expects to complete ASO in 2013.
