The Hungarian DTT platform MinDig TV has started carrying HD versions of the national public channels m1 and m2 today (July 1).
The services are being made available free of charge to viewers and can be received in the Budapest, Kabhegy and Szentes regions.

Their addition to MinDigTV is as a direct result of a long-term agreement, valid until September 2020, between the platform operator Antenna Group and national public broadcaster Magyar Televizió (MTV).

MinDig TV was launched on December 1, 2008 and can currently be received in almost 60% of Hungarian households. It carries a total of six FTA channels (m1 HD, m2 HD, RTL Klub, TV2, Duna HD and Duna Autonómia), along with two pre-pay channels (ATV and Hir TV).
