Dutch report 4 million digital homes

With an average of 200,000 new digital homes added every quarter, the Netherlands now has reached the milestone of 4 million or a reach of 56%.
The figures were just released by the Digital TV Expert Group. By year end 83% of all households will have a flat screen TV; also, 69% of all Dutch homes will have an HD ready or Full HD television set by December, 2009.
Market reseacher GfK expects the total TV receiver market this year to reach 1.71 million, slightly down from last year. For 2010, GfK predicts sales of around 1.8 million sets.
