Christopher Baldelli replaces Duroux at RTL
Pascale Paoli Lebailly
Christopher Baldelli, who was managing French broadcaster M6's thematic channels, has been named CEO of leading radio station RTL, following Axel Duroux’s departure for TF1. His mission will be to maintain RTL’s leadership, recover profits as ad revenues decrease, and develop cooperations with M6.
Aged 44, he will take his functions on August 1.
Before making a carreer in the media and TV sectors, Christopher Baldelli, a former close advisor of Nicolas Sarkozy, also contributed to several right-wing governments from 1994 to 1997. He then worked in the press sector for group Lagardère before becoming General Manager of France 2 from 2002 to 2005.
