Channel 21 plans sister service
German home shopping broadcaster Channel 21 is planning to launch a sister service.
Operating company Channel 21 GmbH has applied for a broadcast licence for the new service with the working title Channel 21 Express at Lower Saxon media authority NLM. No further details regarding content or launch date are known yet.
Channel 21 is backed by Munich industrial holding company Aurelius, which acquired the teleshopping service in summer 2008 from RTL Group. The TV station, formerly called RTL Shop, was renamed at the beginning of 2009.
