Médiamétrie’s survey on national radio audiences shows changes among the leading stations between April and June 2009. With 5.35 million cumulative listeners and 9.8% audience share, public station France Inter has taken the second position behind leader RTL.

The Rue Bayard station still dominates ratings with 6.28 million listeners and 12.5% audience share. The big loser is music format NRJ that closes the season with 5.19 million listeners and 5.6% audience share, losing 200,000 fans. For months, the station, owned by Jean-Paul Baudecroux, has been weakened by many management changes.

Other mainstream stations RMC and Europe 1 have progressed with respectively 3.48 million listeners for 6% audience share and 4.72 million for 8% listeners. Behind NRJ, leading music radio stations are Skyrock, Fun Radio, Nostalgie and RFM.

News format France Info fell, reaching 4.41 million listeners.
