ONO is rolling out a new look electronic programme guide to the 800,000 Motorola set-top boxes on the Spanish cablenet.

The EPG, developed by Mirada, is said to be more stable than the previous implementation. It is the first time that an independent software provider has developed the entire navigation layer for a Motorola receiver, including set-up, surfer, VOD interface, and the EPG itself, on top of the Motorola driver known as the Motive layer.

Downloads are currently underway in Castilla La Mancha and Castilla Leon with Madrid and Barcelona being next on the list.
To date, Mirada has deployed over 200 interactive applications on seven middlewares.
